Artist Preview : May 21, 2011 w/ Brian Fort

Karman Orange welcomes back Brian Fort to the Santiago Art District Art Walk on Saturday May 21 2011.  Brian will be exhibiting his latest collection based on his short story, Angel City.  The series of paintings are a visualization of the characters from his literary work.  Brain further describes, "It's about where the Angels live and all they have to do to keep us on the path of righteousness."

Brian is a local artist from Santa Ana CA.  He is self taught, beginning from a very early age, following inspired artist such as Justin Bua, Miya Bailey, Rolf Armstrong, and Norman Rockwell.   He currently resides and does his painting in Lake Forrest.  Brian uses music as motivation from his favorite musicians, Talib Kweli, Cee-Lo Green, and Jay-Z.  Brian mostly uses acrylic paint on canvas, and currently exploring the use of oils and other mediums in expanding his creative expressions.

The Santiago Art District Art Walk is a free event, held on the third Saturday of each month from 7pm to 10pm. It is located in the city of Santa Ana, CA at the intersection of Santa Ana Blvd, and Santiago Blvd, across the street form the Santa Ana train station. Free parking available at the train station.
